本剧改编自同名韩剧。精明干练的检察官立石春斗（八木勇征 饰），在乘坐公交车时，被司法实习生宫下樱（齐藤京子 饰）误认为痴汉，从而陷入一场闹剧。之后，他又偶然目睹樱因男友出轨而大吵，情急之下出手相助。没想到，这一举动竟让春斗被迫陪樱喝闷酒，结果醉醺醺的樱直接把他扑倒？！几天后，春斗在检察机关的实习生培训中再次遇到了樱。尽管对这位“冤家”态度冷漠严厉，但他却始终无法忽视她的存在。一场最糟糕的邂逅，究竟是纯粹的意外，还是命中注定的必然？

　　本片讲述香港ICAC精英与黑社会、贩毒、走私集团等恶势力斗智斗勇的故事。他们各有专长，屡立奇功，侦破多宗案件。巾帼不让须眉的女总调查主任叶帼英（陈法蓉饰），精明能干经验丰富的高级调查主任廉志刚（张兆辉饰），大学刚毕业便加入廉署工作的方卓文（古天乐饰）以及率真爽朗的简鸣晖（袁洁莹饰）、孤儿出身的罗家杰（何宝生饰）和单纯善良的刘芷珊（张玉珊饰）等廉政精英。他们公事上各擅其职，维护社会公义，感情上也碰触出了很多火花。
