　　城市垂直农场把水平的农场，改造成种满植物的摩天大楼，用营养液代替土壤，用LED灯取代阳光，这些彷佛科幻小说的情节，在各领域专家的努力下，正一步步成真。垂直农法在密闭的空间种植农作物，压缩了空间，让效益极大化，除了节约土地，也节约用水量，用水仅是传统土壤种植的十分之一。可以楼上种菜，楼下卖菜的垂直农场，也大大缩短了食物里程，减少食物长途运送的资源浪费。
