故事讲述的是在不久的将来，水资源短缺，脾气暴躁的记者弗兰克莫利纳必须面对自己的心魔，以查明一起可怕命案背后的真相。调查将他拖入了这座黑暗而神秘的城市的深处，在那里他亲身了解到事实与表象完全不一样。
